Our founder, Sally, want to spin organic yarns because she was tired of searching high and low for pure wool, breed specific yarns. We sent the first few batches of organic fleece from our own flock to a local mill. Fairly quickly, we found out plenty more people were looking for real wool, so Garthenor Organic was born.

We worked closely with a handful of local organic farms to be able to source more fleece to be able to keep up with demand and offer a wider range.
