Day 3 is all about the colour, with a return of the previous blend of Beacons and Preseli.

Beacons Blend One

If you've been here for a while, you'll know that the launch of Beacons this summer was actually the second launch of Beacons we've had. The original blend was a little different, and the last few skeins are in the moving sale today.

Beacons Blend 1 is comprised of 60% single flock, superfine Polwarth and 40% single flock English Romney and skein dyed to super saturated solids. The 3-fold construction is perfect for cables and textured stitches, and this one is next-to-the-skin soft.

If you've knitted with the new (current) Beacons then this one is a little denser and not quite as bouncy, so bare this in mind when planning to combine the two.

Preseli Blend One

Like Beacons, Preseli was originally a blend of 60% single flock, superfine Polwarth and 40% single flock English Romney. The main shade that's available is called Turin, and never made it to launch as the twist isn't quite perfect. It's way too lovely to be sat in our stock room for any longer though!
