Number 2 traces its roots all the way back to our very first batches in 1999 - long before we even dreamed of spinning for ourselves. Back then, we called it “Shetland 4ply” or “Ryeland 4ply,” and the mill was just down the road. It’s changed a bit since then, but the spirit is the same: versatile, reliable, quietly excellent wool.

These Bundles have been put together to help us switch over from 50g to 100g skeins, read more about that here.

Number 2 has 340m per 100g (372yds per 3.5oz).
